About Ryedale Garages

Ryedale Garages as the name suggests, first opened for business in 1946. Herbert Cook started the business selling and repairing cars and Bedford trucks, in 1953 Herbert opened the Vauxhall business and after successfully serving the community of Kirkbymoorside and beyond handed the raines over to his son, Stuart Cook. Today Ryedale Garages is still in the Cook family, John Cook, Herbert’s Grandson, heads the team, many of whom have worked here for many years and witnessed many changes. Today the family values still run through the heart of the business, customer service is the most important thing and over the decades Ryedale Garages have won many awards, something the team here are very proud of.

We have around 50 pre-owned cars in stock and can source any make and model so if you don’t see a car specific to your needs please feel free to get in touch. We are also a Kia and Vauxhall specialists, meaning we can service, MOT, our Aftersales department also cater for any make of car with our fully equipped workshop, here at Ryedale Garages we really do have all your motoring requirements covered.
